About More Human at Work

As human beings, we can get a bit funny at work. The two forces of being right and looking good prompt all kinds of behaviors - judging, labeling, posturing, pretending, proving, and so on. In many ways, the pandemic that started in 2020 offered a break from this - kids running into the room during Zoom meetings, the very real heartbreak and challenges of a global pandemic, the juggle of caring for a family member while balancing work demands.

We've been offered a very clear window into more of our struggles, imperfections, and shared humanity. The question becomes, where will we go from here? I say let's build on this - let's challenge the way things have always been done, and let's find a way to be more human at work.

Meet Rachel

I'm a middle child with a natural lean toward creating a world that works for everyone. I'm an HR executive with strengths in coaching, facilitation, experience design, and HR transformation. I'm drawn to visionary, emerging growth companies that embrace disruptive thinking in HR.

I've always felt the tug between head and heart when it comes to my career. That used to be hard. It didn't seem like there was a way to be true to my head and heart at work. It got easier over the years - I found ways to integrate my passions by drawing upon my creativity, compassionate heart, and sense of adventure. And now, to see the way the world is evolving, it feels like all of those experiences have prepared me for the precise business environment we're living in. A time to design what "more human at work" can look and feel like.
